Sikh Wedding Photography in Kent | Civil, Maiyan, Chura & Jaggo
Wow! How time flies. It’s been exactly four months since we blogged any work. So, to end the drought, we’re kick-starting with Rennu and Mike’s Sikh pre wedding ceremonies in Kent (Civil ceremony, Chura and Jaggo).
One of the best things we enjoy about Asian weddings is all the pre wedding events that take place. It gives us the opportunity to build a relationship with the bride & grooms family, relatives and friends. But more importantly, it gives us time to observe the relationships they have with each other, their characters and mannerisms. This inspires us when it comes to capturing the moments between them.
After all the fun we had with Rennu and Mikes pre wedding shoot in Wales, we were really looking forward to meeting the rest of their family. With a civil registry, maiyan, chura, jaggo ceremony, wedding and two receptions, we literally became part of the family (as Rennu & Mike keep reminding us).
You know when guys sometimes say sweet things and then spoil it by adding a joke at the end, just because they get embarrassed about showing too much of their sensitive side? Well, Mike is epitome of that kind of “manly” man as he would say. One of the most memorable moments for us came at their civil registry, after Rennu and Mike exchanged their rings and finished their vows, we asked Mike how he’s feeling. He took a deep breath and in a very emotional voice said,
“aww, man, when I saw Rennu walk in today, I was fighting back the tears, she looks so amazing!!”
We normally would have teased him because he doesn’t want to admit that he is a sensitive guy, but this time we didn’t want to spoil his moment as we were touched by what he said. But then he quickly went back to normal and came out with, “I couldn’t cry dude, I’m the man…so I manned up” …lol
Suffice to say, we had a lot of fun throughout all their events. It was just great seeing all the little things that show you how quirky some people are.
Here are some of the images from all the Pre Wedding ceremonies. Keep an eye out for the wedding & reception images which we hope to post soon.
