Sangeet at The Monastery Manchester
There are way too many images to put up in a single blog post, so we’re going to do this in two parts. We’ll kick off part 1 with some gorgeous photos from Nikita and Raghuv’s Mehndi & Sangeet in Manchester. The wedding and reception will follow soon.
Nikita and Raghuv were introduced to us by the brilliant team from Payal Events. Payal specialises in luxury event management. You may have caught them on the TV documentary ‘My Big Fat Asian Wedding’ on Channel 4 earlier this year.
Payal’s sure know how to organise an event. The food they serve is exquisite, and they provide the most stunning decor. We’ve worked with them twice this year, and it’s always such a pleasure.
The Sangeet night was amazing! The venue was The Monastery Manchester. The gothic architecture of Gorton Monastery was beautiful. I love history, so was quite impressed to find out that it was among the 100 most endangered sites in the world, alongside Pompeii, The Valley of the Kings and the Taj Mahal. Something else for me to read a little more into.
Mehndi celebrations were in Cheshire. The day ended with Nikita’s cheeky brothers spraying her with beer. I think my cameras and lenses got a bit tipsy too. It was great fun. There was lots of family entertainment, along with a surprise dance by Raghuv for his soon to be wife. We hope you enjoy the snippets. Their wedding & reception photos, which took place at Thornton Manor Cheshire, will be going up soon so keep an eye out for part 2.
