Soniya Zeb Photography – A Wedding Photography Superstar in the making!
No images today. Just an announcement.
Last year (2011) I did a call out for applicants to apply for a photography training program that will lead to them becoming our associate wedding photographer. Following the initial interview process, we chose a suitable candidate. Since November last year I’ve been mentoring Soniya Zeb. After Seven months of intense training, we’re proud to announce that she is now ready to unleash her talent onto the world!
Soniya has gone from knowing nothing about photography, to laying down a strong foundation of skills for her to build on. To be producing the standard of images she is within such a short time frame is testament to her natural talent and ambition. Not realising how hard it is to learn about photography and business, she almost gave up. But we believe she is destined for great things and convinced her to carry on.
Although we still have a lot of work to do on the business front, we feel it’s the right time for Soniya to get out there in the public eye as a professional photographer. And we weren’t wrong!
Yesterday, with much trepidation, she launched her Facebook page, Soniya Zeb Photography. She needn’t have worried though. She managed to amass nearly 200 followers OVERNIGHT! That’s an amazing result for a business that’s just launched! And a good sign of things to come!
While we help set up the rest of her business, she needs to develop an online presence in the interim. Facebook is a great starting point to do just that. Below is the url to her page. Please show your support and help her build confidence by heading over there and ‘Liking’ it:
https://www.facebook.com/SoniyaZebPhotography
Look out for her website and blog, which is under construction and will be launched soon. Although the site isn’t live yet, make a note of this url: www.soniyazeb.com
And you may be wondering why we haven’t posted any images to this post. It’s because we want to help her get as much exposure as possible. We need you to go over to her Facebook page and see the images there. The traffic will help her page become more visible on people’s news feeds.
Shuhenaz and I are extremely proud of her achievements so far. With the foundations firmly in place, we’re excited to see Soniya develop her own unique style and look forward to being part of her journey.
Good luck Soniya, and here’s to new beginnings (raises glass).
