Bengali and Pakistani Fusion Wedding at Froyle Park
We always make it a part of our routine to visit venues we haven’t shot at before. With Froyle Park, we had a rare opportunity to do two things in one visit. Just a week before Hamna and Shafqat’s reception, we were attending a wedding as a guest, at the same venue.
Being a guest gave us a chance to see first hand how an event would pan out. I was curious to see if it was going to be possible for Hamna and Shafqat to fit all their guests at the reception room.
To be honest, I panicked for the couple and was on the phone to them immediately the next day. I asked if they could do something to make it more spacious as there wouldn’t be enough room for everyone to walk between tables without difficulty. They managed to speak to the venue. It turns out; everything was fine for their 240 guests. Phew! And there was some space left over too! The venue did a great job with the seating plan.
Some of you may be thinking, why was I that concerned. Well, making sure to leave enough walking space between tables is more crucial than you might realize. In the case where there is very little space, a whole host of issues can present itself.
Your guests will find it uncomfortable getting around. There’s also the caterers who will find it very difficult to serve and accidents may be inevitable. To top it all off, it will make it difficult for the people you’ve hired to record your event. The restrictions on space could prevent them from getting the best angles. Worst still, important elements of your event may be missed out altogether.
For Hamna and Shafqat, we think their whole day went perfectly; even a little drizzle of rain didn’t spoil their mood. Although the couple was hoping for good weather to have their civil ceremony inside the beautiful gazebo, as British weather goes, never hope for the sunshine, especially not for a winter wedding. As Hamna had her heart set on using the gazebo, we made sure to do some of their couple shots there. We think it worked out, especially as there was no need to wait for the venue staff to remove chairs from the gazebo area.
After already having spent three other events with the whole family, it was really nice seeing everyone again. Especially our brides two lovely sisters…AKA ‘The Chuckle Brothers’….lol…you’ll see a photo of them together, that facial expression is priceless. Apparently, they can’t even remember what made her make that face when they saw this picture afterward.
Their send-off was meant to be with sparklers outside. But we were forced to go indoors. It all worked out in the end. We had a brilliant time photographing their final event. Loved working with relaxed and chilled out couple like them.
We also had the pleasure of working with the caterers, Green Leaf. Always great seeing their team. Encountered another beautifully elegant cake by Maya Dahlia Cakes. Also worked alongside the brilliant SalShan and his cinematography crew.
Here are a few images from all the events.
You have a wonderful ability to portray the atmosphere!

Beautiful work, love seeing so many happy faces!
Beautiful images!
Love that you checked into the space, making sure it was not too crowded. So many things go into the planning of a wedding, and another pair of eyes checking out the set up always helps.
Thanks Heidi.
Yes, as photographers it’s not the norm to get involved with planning, but our clients appreciate it. We’ve even been asked to help choose wedding outfits for a couple of brides. :-)
Amazing photos of a beautiful celebration.
Thank you Maria! :-)
