Bath Pre Wedding Shoot – Umaiza & Riad
This was the first time for us in Bath. And after seeing how beautiful the area is, we understood why it was always jam packed with people. It’s a place that definitely deserves another visit. Especially Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. It was very difficult to get any kind of photo there due to it’s popularity with never a quiet moment. The architecture of Bath Abbey is stunning, and as someone with a keen interest in history, I just had to capture the gothic decor for one shot at least. We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t shoot in the Roman Baths, as that was the initial plan. As it’s open to the public, and extremely busy, we couldn’t get permission to shoot inside. Hopefully we’ll get a couple who hire it for a wedding soon. Walking around the rest of Bath just takes you back in time, it’s an absolutely beautiful and picturesque place.
We all had a lot of fun during the shoot with plenty of banter. It’s fair to say that we are very much looking forward to their wedding and meeting the rest of the family. So now it all comes down to the final result of the shoot, and before presenting some of our favourite shots, we’d like to say a big thanks to Rafa (Umaiza’s sister) for helping us out throughout the shoot. We don’t normally have family members coming along to the pre wedding shoot, but glad Rafa did as her help was greatly appreciated.
If you’re ever in Bath for quick visit and need a place to stay, we recommend a lovely bed and breakfast called Lindisfarne Guest House. The guest house is owned by a very nice couple, John and Fay Webb. They were extremely helpful and made sure we got everything we needed and went that extra mile with customer service. They gave advice on places to visit in Bath, let us check out later than usual and allowed the use of one of their other rooms for some of the photos.
And a huge thanks to Mustafa, owner of moroccan restaurant Tagine Zhor, for letting us use their bar for one of the shots. If you like Moroccan food, the restaurant is situated just around the corner from Bath Abbey.
