Anna & Michael – Wedding Ceremony at The Sacred Heart Church in Kilburn.

We were thrilled to be part of Anna & Michaels wedding & reception.

The wedding ceremony took place in The Sacred Heart Church in Kilburn, and reception at London Marriott Hotel, Regents Park.

We had a brilliant day with yet another wonderful couple and the most friendly and welcoming family.

Here’s a selection of shots from the day. Please leave a comment and let us know what you think of them.

Jay, I’ve only looked at the title photo but it is truly amazing! Lighting is spot on especially for an indoor shot.. as is the pose and composition with the arched roof above her head.

Can’t wait to see the others.

They will be SOOO pleased
:)

Simply beautiful! Too often the tilted look is tilted too much, causing a seasick feeling for the viewer. But you tilted this just right. It gives a sense of movement from the bride. The lighting, as was already mentioned, is spot on. Excellent!

I agree, perfect composition, aided by fantastic light and spot on exposure. You’ve made a beautiful subject look magical !!

This is a side comment, but did you design the follow me feed on the left side or did you get from somewhere? I’ve seen some similar to yours but haven’t figured out where to get it.

Jay4 October, 2010 - 04:41

Timothy, the sliding feature comes with the blog theme. If you scroll down to my blogs footer, there’s a link to the site I bought the theme from.
If you don’t want to pay for the premium one, there’s a Free WordPress theme with very similar (nearly identical) features. Here’s the link to that site: http://www.slrlounge.com/free-photography-wordpress-themes

Hope that helps.. :-)

Awesome thanks. I have blogger, not sure all that would entail. But I’ll look into it. I actually am looking more into it for my main website, not as much for my blog.

devdan18 October, 2010 - 08:47

is there someone holding the white fabric or just caused by the wind? i like backlight tehnique you used
is there any more photo with the same tehnique you have?

regards

Jay18 October, 2010 - 13:09

The veil was held by my wife and then let go just as I was about to take shot.
You can see another example of a backlit picture here: http://www.jhoque.com/blog/meshaal-rahan-wedding-walima-london. Its the shot of the bride in blue dress in front of a window.

The photos are stunning. Love the bride and her dress too. And that small kid.. he is so cute, I remembered my childhood days by seeing him.

I must say, really amazing photos. And what I love with the style you present in these photos is how you really make sure to tell us who you’re taking a photo of by focusing effectively on the “subject”.
