Shital & Jay – Wedding & Reception in Alrewas Hayes, Staffordshire

After having such a good time with Shital & Jay on their pre wedding shoot, we were looking forward to the main wedding & reception.

We knew there would be plenty of fun & laughter. And we weren’t wrong. We even got to see a soppy romantic side to Jay during his speech. I think I saw a tear in his eye when he was telling everyone how he knew Shital was the one for him. I don’t think he wanted this to be public knowledge though.. he likes to be seen as a ‘manly’ man..

And boy did we have to convince them both to hand over their wedding rings so we can take a shot of them. They were so reluctant as they were very expensive rings and didn’t want to risk losing them.

After a lengthy negotiation (3mins) we reassured them that we’ll guard them with our lives, as we always do. We finally got the shot and, me being me, wanted to come back and tell them that we lost Shital’s ring. But luckily Shital was hard to find among the dancing crowd, which gave me enough time to realise that it would’ve been cruel. I didn’t want to make her cry on her wedding day so decided against it. Instead I found Jay and showed the shot, and judging from how he hugged me as if I was his long-lost brother, and giving me the cheesiest grin I’ve ever seen on a man, I think I can safely assume that he liked it. Either that or he was just flirting with me.. which is worrying.. it was his wedding day and I’m not a home wrecker.

The wedding took place at the beautiful Alrewas Hayes in Staffordshire. And with beautiful weather, great family & guests, and of course a wonderful couple, it was an awesome day from start to finish.

We also want to take this opportunity to thank Prakash & Bhavesh, a father & son team who run ‘Prakash Video’, for their professionalism and cooperation on the day. You guys rock and we’d love to work with you again sometime.
